Any person who defaces, damages or destroys property that is not his or her own may be charged with vandalism. If the damage to the property is less than $400 you can be charged with a misdemeanor. If the damage is more than $400 you can be charged with either a misdemeanor or a felony. You will be required to make restitution or pay for the damage caused.
